"I bought a copy of this back in the 1980s. If you have read all the DOS books you have found so far and want to go the the next step then this is truely the book to read. Half the book is the same basic stuff that is available for free but the boot does have some real info that I have never seen any where else. If you think that you are good with DOS then this book is a must read; it gives you a real jolt forward with DOS.
Is your c:\ prompt yellow on black? Mine is. The book was written before DOS Version 4 so some things are out of date for the new DOS versions, but there is a lot of stuff in here that the new versions didn't hatch out and make easy. I liked it when I read it covre to cover and I still look stuff up n occasion. Its hard to remember everything; I have forgotten more about DOS than most people ever knew and this is a great resource."
